Phil Keaggy can tell you where he was the first time he heard each Beatles single that was released on his local radio station."I was in my grandmother's dining room," Keaggy says of the very first Beatles song to tap his young psyche. It was "I Want To Hold Your Hand," and he "was sitting by her phone, listening to her radio by this little, tiny Tiffany lamp - and I have that lamp now.
It came on the radio and I had never heard any sound like that. It grabbed me like the first time I ever heard 'All Shook Up' by Elvis Presley. I was grabbed by the sound that came off the guitars, the sound that came off the voices and the kind of melody that it was.
